On June 5, the National Event on the Environment Day 2026 was held in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Huang Kunming, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the CPC, and Huang Runqiu, Minister of Ecology and Environment, attended the event and delivered speeches. Zhang Shirong, General Manager of CECEP, attended the event by invitation.
The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Central Office of Spiritual Civilization Construction, the People's Government of Guangdong Province, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region. Under the theme “Comprehensive Green Transition and Jointly Build a Beautiful China”, the event aimed to fully implement the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee, firmly establish and practice the principle that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, use carbon peaking and carbon neutrality as key drivers, advance carbon reduction, pollution control, ecological enhancement and economic growth in a coordinated manner, strengthen ecological security, and enhance the momentum for green development.
Guided by this theme, CECEP will remain committed to its role as a leader in the energy conservation and environmental protection industry, a model for green and low-carbon development, and a promoter of Beautiful China initiatives. Leveraging the collaborative strengths of its entire industrial chain, the Group will actively participate in major national strategies such as the protection of the Yangtze River and continue contributing the strength of a central state-owned enterprise to the building of a Beautiful China during the 15th Five-Year Plan period through higher standards and more practical measures.
